Excise Duty will be reduced to Rs

The special commodity tax imposed on a kilo of imported rice has been reduced to 1 rupee.

Earlier it was 65 rupees for a kilo of imported rice.

In this regard, the Ministry of Finance has issued an extraordinary gazette notice and it states that the relevant decision will be effective from January 2nd to the coming 21st.
